Tui International Bridge
Bridge
Built in 1884, legend has it that this was the work of a disciple of Eiffel, although in fact it was the work of the Rioja-born engineer Pelayo Mancebo, and it was not until 1886 that it was officially opened.
This bridge is built around a long, lattice-like, box-shaped metal structure resting on thick stone pillars. For over a century it has been integrated into the landscape of Tui-Valença do Minho, cities with a history full of military conflicts.
