Neoclassical religious architecture. Neoclassical church with a longitudinal plan and three naves. This was the seat of the Collegiate Church of Santo Estevão in Valença, and of the Diocese of Ceuta.

From this period, you can find the Gothic-Mudejar bishop's chair, as well as the choir stalls and paintings of the life of Saint Stephen. The church still preserves the only painting in Portugal of the Virgin Mary breastfeeding the Baby Jesus to escape the Inquisition.
