Municipal Museum Centre

In the 18th century it housed the town hall and the prison, and some windows still have the original bars from the former prison. Its six arcades were used as a venue for the local fair. The façade bears an armillary sphere. It currently houses the Municipal Museum Centre.

Between 1722 and 1728, the Archbishop of Braga ordered the construction of a prison on this site, which may have been a royal residence.
