The bridge crossing the River Mouro is a spot of both historical and architectural interest. Originally from the 14th century, it was remodelled in 1627 and is currently listed as a Site of Public Interest.

It’s located on a former road that started in Braga, passed through Arcos de Valdevez and headed to Valadares, Melgaço, São Gregório and Serra da Peneda and has witnessed the passage of muleteers and pilgrims.
