At a distance of 1.5 km from the park in A Canuda, it’s one of two islands located at the confluence of the Minho and Tea Rivers. 

The Island of A Fillaboa, purchased by the City Council of Salvaterra de Miño, covers 110,000 square metres and is catalogued as a Natura 2000 Network protected area thanks to its enormous environmental value and diverse wildlife.
