Parque da Canuda
Salvaterra de Miño is one of the Spanish towns with the highest index of green space per inhabitant, having the A Canuda Park as an outstanding natural resource.
This park, located right on the banks of the Miño river, is considered the largest in all of Galicia, with an area of approximately 200,000 m², and is open to the public every day of the year.
Of this natural resource and source of leisure, not only should we highlight the wide variety of trees, plants, farm animals or birds that we can find, but also the inexhaustible number of recreational and sports facilities, including: the road circuit infantile (with signals and traffic lights); the large playground; the Zone assigned for traditional games (ping-pong, chess, parcheesi or ladybug tables); the Rehabilitation and gymnastics Zone for over 16 years; the ornamental fountains; the duck pond; the large lake; the outdoor amphitheater; the Exhibition of farm implements; La Huerta with medicinal plants, fruit plants or roses; the Botanical Orchid Garden (with more than 150 species); the Nature Classroom and multipurpose facilities; the municipal swimming pools (open in summer) or the tennis, soccer, basketball and skate courts.
