Tripes Mills Route
A wide, cobbled road originally for horse-drawn vehicles takes you along the mill route of the River Tripes. The most impressive part of the 2.8 km route is the nearly two-century-old mills and the mill houses with their grinding wheels.
Inside the Monte Aloia Natural Park runs a river that has its source in the Alto de San Xiao and passes along a valley and through the village of Tripes.
The Os Muíños do Tripes route starts near the recreational area of Circos, in the parish of Pazos de Reis.
You’ll be amazed by the bridge crossing the river at Tripes and the old, traditional structures of the houses and sheds of the village of Frinxo. You can go down one side of the river and come back up the other, crossing a bridge made from huge stone slabs. A short route ideal for a fantastic hike through the impressive native riverine flora.
